Splash and Dash 5k & Family Fun Day

We are excited to announce Because One Matters Splash and Dash & Family Fun Day. 

WHO WE ARE

Because One Matters (BOMs) exists to positively influence the trajectory of children impacted by foster care, and young adults from economically disadvantaged communities.The work of Because One Matters is equipping, connecting, and advocating for our most vulnerable-our children and young adults. We are passionate about positively impacting children and young adults, because we know that they are our future doctors,lawyers,teachers, influencers, leaders,etc.

This is a family friendly event, so grab your kids, spouse, significant other, friends, coworkers and come prepared to get blasted at every color station throughout the race.  

We will begin the morning with a fun warm-up and end with a dance party.  

 We will have a bounce house, face painting, balloon twisting, music, refreshments, raffles, and various vendors.

$25.00 (includes race shirt and bib) 13 and up

13 and under are Free
 
WHAT TO WEAR
 
A white t-shirt will be provided to each registered person. We recommend you wear clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty. This event is full of color and can really pop by wearing white clothing.

Your running shoes could get ruined with all the different colors thrown your way. Consider wearing an old pair you no longer use.

Other accessories to consider wearing include sunglasses and a bandana. Sunglasses can help keep the powder from reaching your eyes. Bandanas are great for helping to block the powder from getting in your hair. 
 
WHAT TO BRING 
 
Bring a change of clothes or a towel to sit on to avoid getting your car seat dirty. 
We recommend you not bring/wear items like cell phone or jewelry. If you bring your cell phone to capture the fun moments, bring a waterproof case or plastic bag to keep the powder out.
 
THE RUN/WALK/JOG
While running, there are stations with colored powder & water. Each station has a different color that is thrown at you. We encourage you to get as much color on you as possible by rolling on the ground or doing cartwheels – remember, this is all fun – we want to bring out the kid in you. 
 
FAMILY FUN DAY/THE AFTER-PARTY
Don't want to run/jog/walk? No problem! Join us in the cheer zone and  bring the family to come enjoy the many activities we have planned after the race . The party begins at the finish line.There will be DJ playing all the latest music. You will have time to visit all the wonderful vendors there, and the kids will have an opportunity to play games or jump on the bounce house, get their faces painted, and so much more.
