TRIPPADOODLES TROT HAS GONE VIRTUAL

When we made the tough decision to postpone Trippadoodles Trot from November 6, 2021 to March 19, 2022, we were hopeful that would give Covid-19 a good chance to slow down, but as we look around the World today, it seems to be picking up speed. It breaks our hearts to have to make yet another change, but after much thought we feel it is best for all of you if we go virtual for 2022. We know this isn’t what some of you want to hear, but let’s look at the positive! It will give a lot of people who can’t be there in person a chance to join us for the best race ever – Tripp’s Race! Join us virtually to celebrate Tripp’s life and the difference he made in the World, to help raise money for the kids of Bert’s Big Adventure, and of course for the health of it!

Tailored for all ages and abilities, Trippadoodles Trot aims to be an inclusive event. When you run for those who can't, it makes your heart soar!

Trippadoodles Trot was created in memory of Tripp Halstead, a spectacular boy who suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury when a tree limb hit him on the head. Tripp was a strong, brave, and HAPPY boy, wanting to be included in everything his family and friends were doing, no matter his abilities. Tripp not only inspired so many around the World to get out of their comfort zone and have fun, he also brought a smile to their faces.

At Trippadoodles Trot, we intend to do exactly what Tripp would have wanted, include everyone and put a smile on their faces!

Every year we choose a different 501(c)(3) as a beneficiary of Trippadoodles Trot. In 2022, 100% of net proceeds will go to Bert's Big Adventure, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, providing magical moments for children who are medically fragile with chronic and terminal illnesses. BBA takes pride in providing an adventure of a lifetime at Walt Disney World for these children and their families to let go of all the stresses that daily medical care brings and enjoy their time together to make lasting memories. It doesn't end there though, after their magical Disney trip is over, these children and their families continue to receive tremendous support from BBA through things such as reunion adventures and the opportunity to connect with families who understand their struggles. Tripp would have LOVED to be part of the BBA Family and your support of Trippadoodles Trot will help other children just like Tripp have the opportunity to be part of the BBA Family too. It's as simple as registering for Trippadoodles Trot! Choose whatever distance is right for you (5K, 10K, 1 Mile Fun Run + Roll), whether at Tribble Mill Park in Lawrenceville, GA or Virtually from anywhere around the World. If running isn't your thing, you can still be a huge part of Trippadoodles Trot and support BBA by becoming a Friend of Trippadoodles Trot (see registration categories). 100% of the net proceeds from your registration will go to BBA! You can also support these kids by adding a t-shirt and sweatshirt to your registration. Just like with your registration, 100% of net proceeds from the merchandise you purchase will go directly to BBA!

If you are inclined, you will have two additional opportunities to make a difference during your registration:

1. Make an additional donation to BBA because as you can imagine, making these magical moments possible for these medically fragile kids is expensive and BBA can use all the help they can get!

2. Start a fundraising team with friends, family, or co-workers! Even better than doing it all yourself is gathering others to join you in making a difference in the lives of those who need it the most! You will feel good about your efforts, your teammates will feel good about their efforts, and the families of BBA will be super grateful for your generosity!   

The Halstead's are beyond grateful for the tremendous support they received during Tripp's health crisis. It is important to Tripp's parents, Bill & Stacy Halstead, to pay it forward in any way they can.
