Description
We've commandeered the roadways at MLK High School in Lithonia for the morning of September 29 to put together a 5K for the NJROTC program. We'll have a great course, with music & refreshments at the finish line. Awesome race shirts, and awards for the Overall finishers, Overall Masters, Overall Grand Masters, Overall Senior Masters, as well as the Top three in all of the usual 5 year Age Groups (10 & Under - 75+).

*All registrations (except No Swag) include a guaranteed race shirt if you register by 9/22. Registrations after that date will recieve a shirt while supplies last.
Course & Timing
We'll be electronically timing everyone one as they cross the finish line of a great course that is on the MLK High School grounds. So it's closed to traffic and great for families that want to run together, or split up and race.
Awards & Goodies
We have awards as follows:
- Top 3 Overall M/F
- Top 3 Overall masters M/F
- Overall Grand Masters M/F
- Overall Sr. Grand Masters M/F
- Top 3 in each of the normal 5 year age groups 10 & Under through 75+.
Everyone will get a race shirt guaranteed in their size until 9/22!
Groups & Teams
Do you have a family? Friends? Co-Workers?
Bring them along to join in and have a shot at an extra award for the Fastest Group. There'll be two seperate catagories JROTC units and regular groups. Get 5 or more, and save $5 per person.
- Group discount is given at checkout if everyone registers together.
- Refunds are issued for groups that register individually
Virtual Run
Virtual Race Options
Can't make it out to the event site on race day?
Still want to participate and have a shot at an award?
Then the virtual race is for you.
Here's how it works:
- Register for the Virtual division & start Training
- The day before the race you'll receive instructions & a link to submit your race time
- Submit your race time by end of Sunday
- The Monday after the race, results (Virtual Runner division) will be posted online
- Monday after the race you'll receive an email with a link to the results & any pictures.
- Monday after the race we'll package up all the T-shirts & medals and put them in the mail.
Five Star Championships & Turkey Trot
All participants will automatically qualify for FREE entry into on of the Five Star Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trots. See event website for details.
Top finishers will also qualify for entry into the Five Star 5K/10K Championships to be held on January 5, 2020.
Courtesy & Refund Policy
Our events are designed to be fun and for the entire family. With that in mind any competitor, spectator, parent, volunteer, or sponsor, exhibiting unsportsmanlike conduct or interfering with the positive, competitive atmosphere of the event will be asked to leave the venue and course immediately with no refunds.
All registrations are final...there are no refunds, transfers, or deferments.
