Description
Red Hare's 5K will take you through the streets of Marietta ending with a Red Hare beer garden celebration featuring live music, food and complimentary beer tasting (for those 21 & over, non-alcoholic Red Hare Root Beer soda will be available for anyone unable to drink beer). All runners will receive a custom Red Hare 5K glass* and will be able to enjoy the beer garden party after the race with a live DJ, beer, snacks, friends, and our vendors! Overall awards will be given to M/F winners and the top 3 in all the usual 5 year age groups 10 & under to 75+. We hope you’ll come run with us!

Non-Runner Beer Garden Pass = For friends and family who want the beer garden experience without the work – this ticket includes souvenir Red Hare Race 5K Pint Glass, live music, and up to 24oz of beer samples. Does not include T-shirt, race bib, post-race meal or runner bag – these are for runners only.
Participants that are registered by 3/1 are guaranteed a great race shirt in their size (women's sizes too).
*Finisher Glass - must be present on event day; not available for virtual mailing.
Registrations after that will receive a shirt while supplies last.
Course & Timing
We're just outside of Atlanta in beautiful Marietta, and there's not much that anyone can call flat & fast. The course is a single loop and we'll be chip timing.
A Note about the Host & Beneficiary
Red Hare Brewing Company, the oldest microbrewery in Marietta, GA, distributes their beer and soda brands throughout Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama, Tennessee and the panhandle of Florida. Red Hare brews four year-round beers: Gangway IPA, Long Day Lager, Cotton Tail Pale Ale, SPF 50/50 and as of January 2017, Gem City Classic in addition to over 12 seasonal or small batch releases per year. Red Hare was the first craft brewery in Georgia to can their beer and the world’s first brewery to use a more eco-friendly can, the evercan, made with guaranteed 90% recycled aluminum. The brewery tasting room is open to the public for tours and tastings Wednesdays through Fridays from 5:30-7:30 and Saturdays from 2-6 pm. Austen's Army Foundation
We are a nonprofit organization located outside of Atlanta dedicated to spreading awareness of rhabdomyosarcoma, and raising funds to support research earmarked specifically toward treatments for this disease that minimize toxicity to patients and maximize success rates. In the most basic of terms, rhabdomyosarcoma is a type of sarcoma. Sarcomas are cancers that develop from connective tissues in the body, such as muscles, fat, bones, the linings of joints, or blood vessels. Rhabdomyosarcoma is the most common type of soft tissue sarcoma in children.
Austen was diagnosed with embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma in 2017 at the age of 4. This is a disease we didn't even know existed. Within a few weeks, she had spent numerous days and nights at the hospital, undergone a full hysterectomy and began an intense 24-week protocol of chemotherapy.
Your contributions will enable us to help raise awareness of rhabdomyosarcoma and fund valuable research efforts into treatment protocols.

Beer Garden Pass
Not interested in running, but want to enjoy the beer garden after the race, complete with samples...then you'll need a Beach-Bash-Beer-Garden. You can add it on to a friends registration or purchase it by itself (they'll charge you a processing fee if it's the only thing you get).
It will also be available for purchase on race morning.
Event Cap
It's important that we're able to park everyone, have adequate finisher pint glasses, and most importantly…enough beer! The event is capped at 750 participants. Based on previous year registrations, we expect the race to sell out so register early to guarantee your spot and beer!

Then the virtual race is for you.
Here's how it works:
1. Register for the Virtual division & Start Training
2. You'll receive emails with event info & a link to submit your race time
3. Submit your race time by end of race day
4. The Monday after the race, results (Virtual Runner division) will be posted online
5. Monday after the race you'll receive an email with a link to the results & any pictures.
6. Monday after the race we'll package up all the T-shirts, medals and put them in the mail. *finisher glass not available for mailing.

Five Star Turkey Trot & 5K Championships
All participants will automatically qualify for FREE entry into ONE of the Five Star Thanksgiving Turkey Trots. See event website for details.
Top finishers will also qualify for entry into the Five Star 5K/10K Championships to be held in January 2021.
Event Courtesy & Refund Policy
Our events are designed to be fun and for the entire family. With that in mind any competitor, spectator, parent, volunteer, or sponsor, exhibiting unsportsmanlike conduct or interfering with the positive, competitive atmosphere of the event will be asked to leave the venue and course immediately with no refunds.
All registrations are final...there are no refunds, transfers, or deferments.
