Walk for Wheels 

The City of McDonough, Georgia, and supporting organizations cordially invite you to attend the “Walk for Wheels” annual event on September 16, 2023 to educate and foster public awareness of people living with spinal cord injuries, and to commemorate National Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Month. Beginning at 8:00 AM we will walk and roll as a group from the Henry County Performing Arts Center around the McDonough Square and back. The event ends with guest speakers who will deliver powerful messages of inspiration and empowerment to everyone in attendance! 

Mr. Josh Ash of McDonough, Georgia who obtained a spinal cord injury (SCI) September 12, 2020, is spearheading this effort. His experiences have given him a unique perspective of living a life as a person with a physical disability. He now passionately feels the need to educate the community of the challenges someone with a spinal cord injury, their friends, and families face. Josh has met his challenges and used them as inspiration to find a way to keep moving forward to accomplish the things in life he values most. His story is one of determination, accomplishment and of victory! He is "Trucking On Wheelz"!!!
