Description
The 7th Annual Flat Joe 5k Race/1 mile Fun Run!
If you have been to any of the previous runs, we hope you will join us again this year, even if you are not running. We began this race with the goal of creating a memorial to our Walton County Heroes - our Fallen Military and First Responders. This goal was reached November of 2018 at the dedication of the Walton County Veterans Memorial. While raising funds for the project, we were able to provide an opportunity for the civilian community and the Walton County AFJROTC to meet both veterans and active military and first responders alike, as well as awarding college scholarships.
If you did not make it to the run last year, be prepared to be awed! The Walton County Veterans Memorial Park is a testament to America's love for her military and their families, who all sacrifice so much, with some paying that ultimate price. Runners are inspired as they race by the entrance of the Walton County Veterans Memorial.
