Event Description
The 29th Annual Deer Dash is a 5k Chipped Race Run/Walk and One Mile Fun Run. The 5K is a 3.1 mile run/walk around beautiful Monticello. The Fun Run is an out and back running on Eatonton Street.

Packet Pickup and last minute registration is available at the Monticello Chamber of Commerce starting on Friday, November 6, 10:00am - 3:00pm
T-Shirts
T-shirts are available to all runners that register by Friday, October 2. After this date, t-shirts will not be available.
Prior to October 2, 2026 a no T-shirt option is available. A $10.00 discount will be applied at check out.
Phantom Runners will have their t-shirt mailed to them for an $10.00 mailing fee automatically included at the time of t-shirt size selection. If you live locally and do not want your t-shirt mailed to you, stop ty the Chamber of Commerce and register there as a phantom runner and pick up your t-shirt at that time.

The 5K course is USATF Certified GA19017DJ
Awards
Fun Run Awards are given to the Overall male and Overall female finisher 10 years old and younger. All Fun Runners will receive a finishers medal.
5K Awards are given to Overall Male / Female, Masters Male/Female and the following
5-year age groups, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place: 10 and Under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 and Over

What if it Rains?
We get wet! Race start time may be delayed in 15-minute increments if storms are in the area. Sorry, no refunds due to inclement weather.
