3rd Annual AFSA Tiger Relay Run

This year’s AFSA/AFAF fundraising event will be a 12 hour relay race at Moody AFB blue track on 23 April 2016.  The event will consist of multiple 10-person teams that will race in a relay fashion for 12 hours.  Each team will conduct their own fundraising prior to the event to compete for the “Top Donating Team” honors.  All donations will then be presented to the AFEV.  We are anticipating a large turnout. 

Our local AFSA Chapter 460 will be hosting the upcoming fundraising event to support Moody AFB’s 2016 Air Force Assistance Fund (AFAF).  The AFAF is an official Air Force fundraising event to support four charitable affiliates that provide support to the Air Force family (active duty, retirees, reservists, guard, and their dependents). One of the charitable affiliates is the Air Force Enlisted Village (AFEV).  The AFEV is located near Fort Walton Beach, FL and provides a safe, secure and dignified home for needy surviving spouses of retired Air Force personnel.  Without the AFEV, many of these widows would struggle to live on their own due to low income and/or their medical needs.  The AFEV is recognized as an official Air Force charity, under the Air Force Assistance Fund, and largely operates off donations.
