Description

Begun in 1980, this event is the oldest ongoing triathlon in the continental U.S. The 1K (horseshoe shaped) swim is around pristine Robin Lake (deep water entire swim, but within 20 yards of shoreline during the first half). The 30K bike is out and back on Scenic Drive, Discovery Parkway and Mountain Creek Drive, and completely eliminates all parking lot traffic that was a problem on the course used in previous years. The 8K run follows Robin Lake Circle and parts of the paved Discovery Bicycle Trail, and is extremely fast.
