Game Changers 5k Repeater Challenge

Game Changers Running Company St. Simons and the Golden Isles Track Club presents the 3rd Annual 5k Repeater Challenge!

The CHALLENGE 

Run as many 3-mile laps every 45 minutes as you can. If you complete all 12 laps, that will be 36 miles
12 x 45 minute 3 miles laps

8:00 a.m. Start
5:00 p.m. End of last lap

Laps begin and end at the Game Changers Running Company store in Red Fern Village, the route will be the Monday night usual route. 

-Must complete each 3-mile lap within 45 minutes
-Each runner begins the lap at the same time

For each lap completed you will receive 1 or more entries to a drawing for 1 pair of free pair of shoes from Game Changers.
For example:
Lap 1 = 1 entry
Lap 2 = 1 entry 
Lap 3 = 1 entry 

Note:
To earn drawing entries, you must start at 8 a.m. and run the laps consecutively. 
You can come after 8 a.m. to run laps but will not receive drawing entries. 

Cost = $10 fee +registration fee

The OVERALL WINNER

This is the only award for this event. The Overall winner is the runner who:

A: Completes the most laps 
B: Completes the last lap the fastest 

• Wins a free pair of shoes from Game Changers Running Company
• Wins a trophy sponsored by the Golden Isles Track Club

AWARD for 2nd, 3rd and 4th places on the last lap!

• Various Prizes for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th.

The INFORMATION

-No shirts or age group awards
-Encourage the use of Strava or Garmin to log the miles
-Encourage you to bring your own hydration and nutrition
-We will have a clock to track the 45 minutes per lap
-Will have hydration throughout the day for participants
-Space for tents on the grassy areas, or setup a chair under the canopy in front of the store
-Bathroom located in empty store besides Game Changers Running Company store

The ROUTE

The route leaves GCRC, exits Redfern Village, turns to the right and stays on the sidewalk along Demere, turns right on Sea Island road for a short way to the turnaround point. On the return trip to GCRC you will loop to the right around Gnats landing back to the start/finish line. 

CUTTING COURSE WILL RESULT IN A DQ!
