Description
This is a benefit 5K race and will be held at Woodland High School in Stockbridge, GA.
Sammy Miller is the choir director at Woodland High School. On October 15, Sammy suffered a massive heart attack after a staff vs. student volleyball game; it was so severe, doctors often refer to it as "the widowmaker." Sammy is 33 years old. He survived and is currently recovering at the Shepherd Center in Atlanta. His family needs help dealing with the medical bills related to the incident, as Sammy's sick days are nearly used up.
We have two options for the race: show up for the 5K which begins at 8:30am on Saturday, December 13 at Woodland High OR do a virtual run/walk during the weekend of December 13. All participants who pre-register will receive a t-shirt, but register by 12/05/14 to guarantee your shirt size. On-site registration will be available, but we cannot guarantee a shirt. 100% of the proceeds from this 5K will go to the Miller family. If you'd like to make an additional donation, please click on the "donate" tab above. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.
