Description

The Run Above the Clouds offers 10K and 5K road races over a beautifully scenic, challenging out-and-back course through the North Georgia mountains. At 2800 feet, The Run Above the Clouds is Georgia’s highest (and perhaps most scenic) 10K, featuring “the Cooper Gap Climb,” a 230-foot elevation change over a one-mile stretch. The Run Above the Clouds is a benefit for the students of Woody Gap School, the smallest and only K-12 public school in Georgia. Every year The Run Above the Clouds awards scholarships to graduating seniors and to postgraduates of Woody Gap School to encourage them to continue their education. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. As of 2018 both our 5K and 10K routes are USATF certified as well as qualifiers for the AJC Peachtree Road Race. Your race entry includes a tri-blend t-shirt as long as you are registered by April 1.

All registrants will receive a short-sleeved t-shirt if registered by April 1, 2022. This year's design was created by Logan Disser, one of Woody Gap High School's graduating seniors!

If you'd like to order an additional shirt you can do that too! Or you just want the shirt and you'll enjoy your couch on race day
