Description

We're headed to Sugar Hill to celebrate what will always be remembered as the three greatest decades of music...the 60's, the 70's, and the 80's.  It won't matter if you love Sugar Sugar, No Sugar Tonight, or Pour Some Sugar on Me; you'll have a great time running & singing your way through the decades in Sugar Hill.

There are three courses; one to celebrate each of those years.  6K for the 60's, 7K for the 70's, and 8K for the 80's; or you can race all the years and finish up with a half marathon under your belt.

We've lined up some great race swag...Super race shirts and Finisher Awards!  Add in age group awards for each race (including the half) in 5 year age groups, and you have the perfect event.

Still want to participate or support the cause and have a shot at an award? Or, maybe you saw the shirt and said:  "Sweet, I want one!"  Then, the virtual race is for you.  Run when & where you want, just submit your time by end of Race Day.  We'll ship out virtual packages the Monday after event date! *Shipping available for continental US only.

New to Virtual Running?  Here's how it works:

Step 1

Get excited, grab some friends & pups to join you!  Sign up, and register for the Run through the Decades Virtual 6K, 7K, 8K or Half!!

Step 2

Download your Custom Digital Bib; not required!  Hydrate and get ready to get moving!

Step 3

Get out there and run or walk! You can run at the park, your favorite route in your neighborhood; anywhere you want.   Please remember to be safe!

Step 4

HAVE FUN!~

If you want, share your distance, a selfie, or a picture along your race route, and use the hashtag #RunthroughtheDecades #fivestarrunning

Step 5

Submit your results directly on RunSignUp.com through your Profile or registration.

You can submit your race time HERE on the Virtual Results page anytime through end of day 4/20.

Step 6

View your Virtual Results HERE Monday after the Event Date.

GROUPS & TEAMS

Running is more F-U-N together, even if we're far apart! 

Grab your friends, co-workers, neighbors or family and participate as a TEAM.  Your TEAM can be local or across the states; virtual participants will have their shirts shipped!  Teams of 5 or more receive discounts off their registration, discounts below.

5+:  $2.50 off

11+:  3.75 off

21+:  $5.00 off

51+:  $6.25 off

100+:  $7.50 off

FIVE STAR TURKEY TROT & CHAMPIONSHIPS

This is one of your first opportunities to qualify for (1) free entry into our 2024 Turkey Trot & also to qualify for our Championship 5K/10K!

All participants will automatically qualify for (1) FREE entry into one of the 2024 Five Star Thanksgiving Turkey Trots. See event website

Top finishers will also have the opportunity to earn a spot in the Championships held on January 5, 2025. The number of spots available is based on the total registration.  See event website

EVENT COURTESY & REFUND POLICY

Our events are designed to be fun for the entire family. With that in mind; any competitor, spectator, parent, volunteer, or sponsor, exhibiting unsportsmanlike
conduct or interfering with the positive, competitive atmosphere of the event will be immediately disqualified, asked to leave the venue and course immediately with no refunds.

All registrations are final. There are no refunds, deferments, or transfers.

Event will take place rain or shine. In the event of extreme weather, we will cancel for the safety of the participants...there are no refunds in this case.

Participants that do not show up to race/event forfeit their right to any swag.

No COVID-19 Refunds.  If unforeseen circumstances arise due to COVID-19, including any Federal or State Health Emergency, refunds will not be provided.  The event will go 100% Virtual & shirts will be shipped to participants.
