Memory Jog 5K

Think...think...think...If you ever find yourself tapping the side of your head trying to remember, we've got a fun event for you.  The inaugural Memory Jog 5K is going to be a throw back to the 60'& 70's (remember those...LOL).  It's doubly symbolic because the event proceeds are going to Operation GroundHUG & The Wander Project.  We'll be starting & finishing at the Kids R' Kids in Johns Creek, and we've got Super Soft shirts for the racers, as well as award medals for the Overalls, Masters, Grand Masters, Senior Masters, and all the regular 5 year age groups.

Entry Fee & Registration:   Regular Entry...Through May 4., 5K...$27, Virtual 5K...$25, 5K...No Swag...$22  (same race, just no shirt)

Race Day:  5K...$30,  5K...No Swag...$25  (same race, just no shirt)

Race free!  The event is a fundraiser for Operation GroundHUG & the Wander Project, and with that in mind, every participant has the opportunity to raise money through donations and receiving pledges.  Any participant who raises $150 or more will have their race entry fees refunded.

Event Beneficiary:   Proceeds will go to Operation GroundHUG, The Wander Project and Alzheimer's research.   
Operation GroundHUG is a local charity that inspires young people to get involved on the 'ground level' to connect with seniors and show them we care. Kids + Seniors = Awesome Memories!

The Wander Project is a project to help families with members diagnosed with Alzheimer's or other dementia that might wander away from home.   www.OperationGroundHUG.org

 
Random Fun:   Sooo....it's a memory jog, and we're working hard to make sure we remember all the good times from our youth, so be sure to join in on the fun (if you want:-))   Dig through your closet and grab your groovy clothes that your kids won't let you wear when they're around.  You know the ones...those tube socks with the fancy stripes, the bell bottom jeans, the flowery shirt.  I could go on, but you've got the idea:)

Piggy Back:   Bring out your group or team, and you can piggy back on our event.  Check out the Groups, Teams, & Fundraising page to find out how you can raise some funds for your group by coming out to our event.

Course:   Awesome super flat & super fast spectator friendly course, starting & finishing at the Kids R Kids on Johns Creek Pkwy.

Awards:   Great custom award medals as follows:  Overall M/F, Overall Masters M/F (40 years +), Overall Grand Master M/F (50 years +), Overall Sr. Master M/F (60 years +), Top 3 in each of the normal 5 year age groups 10 & under through 75+ will earn awards. 
 
Teams & Groups:   Grab your friends and participate as a team…you can score a great discount.   5+...10% off, 11+…15% off, 21+…20% off, 51+…25% off, 100+…30% off.

Five Star Turkey Trot & Championships:   If you're coming out...you get some bonus events!  All participants will receive FREE entry into the 2018 Five Star Turkey Trot. Top finishers will also earn a qualifying spot in the Five Star 5K Championships. See www.fivestarntp.com for full details.
 
Event Courtesy & Refund Policy:   Our events are designed to be fun and for the entire family. With that in mind any competitor, spectator, parent, volunteer, or sponsor, exhibiting unsportsmanlike conduct or interfering with the positive, competitive atmosphere of the event will be asked to leave the venue and course immediately with no refunds.

The event will be held rain or shine.  In the event of severe weather making it unsafe for participants, the event will be canceled.  We're sorry, but once you are registered, there are no refunds, transfers, or deferments.
