Description

Summit Run CO presents
The Trail Running Film Festival 2024
March 24 - Monkey Wrench Brewing - Suwanee, GA

The Trail Running Film Festival is back on tour and coming to your town for a great night of films, inspiration, and community.

You're invited to celebrate with us running as a universal practice. Come explore our collective and individual potential, and let's pursue our wildest dreams.

We're excited to bring you stories from around the world by filmmakers sharing their work of adventure, inclusivity, wilderness, art, and diversity across the trail and ultra community.

We will have sponsor swag and raffles for the event as well as a group run prior to the films.

Length: Films will run about 90 minutes.

5 PM - Optional Group Run hosted by HOKA
6 PM - Event Opens
7 PM - Films Begin

For 2024 the Festival will be hosted at Monkey Wrench Brewing! Their large indoor space, complete with tiki bar and outdoor beer-garden, couldn't be more perfect for this event. We'll have food-trucks, $5 beer specials, and plenty of fun and games before the films begin.

Abigail West, printmaker and trail runner from Athens GA, was selected as the poster artist for the 2024 Trail Running Film Festival Global Tour.

Abigail hand-carves and hand-prints original linocuts. The piece for the poster design captures the alluring depths of a singletrack trail through the lush forest. Her work focuses particularly on the often underrepresented trails of the Southeast, and she made the original linocut print of the poster around the same time she set the Fastest Known Time on SCAR, the 71 mile traverse of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

Abigail will be on site at the Film Festival selling original prints that are featured on the global tour poster. The originals are a limited edition of just 120. A portion of each print sale goes towards the film festival's filmmaker grant. You can also purchase prints online HERE.

You can follow Abigail’s art and adventures @upinthewoods or on her website.
