7th Annual VJSL Dosta Dash

Be a hero in your hometown! Bring out your inner "Superhero" for the Valdosta Junior Service League's Annual Run, the 'Dosta Dash! We hope you will join us for our 7th year and dress as your favorite Superhero to run or cheer on race day. All proceeds from the race benefit the many community organizations and programs assisted by the VJSL.

The Entry fee for the 5K and 10K races starts out at $20 until March 11, then the fee increases to $25. The entry fee for the 1 mile Fun Run will start out at $10 until March 11, then increase to $15. *The 10K race will be part of the 2011 Get Active Grand Prix Series.

The 5K/10K event starts at 8:00am near the corner of Toombs Street and Jackson Street, with the 1 mile Fun Run following at 9:30am starting in the same location. Race day registration begins at 7:00am at the Converse Dalton Ferrell House. *T-shirts will be given to participants on race day, while supplies last.

5K/10K Course: The start will be near the corner of Toombs Street and Jackson Street. Runners will run down Toombs, veer left onto Magnolia then right onto N. Oak St., then right onto Georgia and right again onto Patterson. The 5K will finish in front of the Converse Dalton Ferrell House, and 10K runners will turn right from Patterson onto Jackson St. and loop the course again, with the 10K also finishing in front of the Converse Dalton Ferrell House.

1 Mile Fun Run Course: This run begins near the corner of Toombs Street and Jackson Street. Runners will run down Toombs St., veer left onto Magnolia then right onto N. Oak St. Runners will then turn right onto Gordon St. and then turn right onto Patterson to the finish in front of the Converse Dalton Ferrell House.

Awards will be given to the overall male and female, top masters male and female, and the top 2 finishers in each age category of each race.

Pre-registered entrants can pick up their race-packets at Get Active Running and More from March 19-25. Race day packet pick-up will be at the Converse Dalton Ferrell House starting at 7:00am.
