Lowndes Middle School 5K Run/Walk

 

 

The proceeds from the LMS 5k fun run and walk on

February 1, 2014 will go to benefit the March of Dimes and the American Cancer Society.

STARTING TIMES

 

5k Run/Walk –8:00 am 1 Mile Fun Run-9:00 am

The course will begin and end at

Lowndes Middle School 2379 Copeland Road. Parking is available on site.

 

EVENTS

 

5k Run/Walk – Put your running/walking shoes on and complete the specially designed course for our event. Cost: Pre-registration: $25.00/runner Day of race: $30.00/runner Family Run Pack: $50.00/family of four

(includes t-shirt for each runner, entry to race)

 

 

1 Mile Fun Run

 

 

 

– Not quite ready for 3.1 miles? No worries, we have you covered with our 1 mile fun run. Cost: Pre-registration: $15.00 Day of race: $20.00

Pre-register by completing a registration form and returning to Lowndes Middle School at the address listed by

. All pre-registered participants will receive a t-shirt. Packets may be picked up Friday, January 30 from 4:00—6:00 pm or the day of the race beginning at 7:00 am.

TEAMS AND GROUPS

 

We encourage participants to walk or run as a team or group. Teams are a great way to show your support for each other. Many teams wear signature items centered around the team. Lowndes Middle School would like to recognize your team or group on race day. We recommend creating a team name and have each registrant indicate the team on their registration form.

 

AWARDS

 

Awards include Male and Female Overall, Awards given to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place by age group, gender and event.

 

1 Mile FUN RUN

 

 

Awards will be given to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers for the following age groups male and female: 0-7, 8-12 and 13-17.

Awards will be presented to all children who complete the one-mile fun run.
