This fun run and walk is held in honor and remembrance of the victims of the 2013 Boston Marathon bombings. This is a non-competitive fun run, with distances from 5 miles to a full marathon. So lace up those shoes, log some miles with us and show your support for Boston!
This event features a closed-loop course that starts at Publix, winds through the Mirror Lake subdivision and finishes at Publix. The route is approximately 5 miles on sidewalks and golf cart paths. Join us for just one lap or run five (plus a little extra if you want to get that 26.2!).
*There will also be a 1-mile route for children and seniors.
Hosted by the Douglas County Rogue Runners, the event is in its second year. DCRR plans to make it an annual event.
An aid station, located in the Publix parking lot, will be available from 8 a.m. until noon. Fluids and food will be available to participants.
Immediately before the race starts, there will be random drawing for prizes for all participants who have preregistered. This is a non-competitive fun run, NOT a race. DCRR races can be found here.
Registration is encouraged, but not required. Registration helps to determine the actual event size. Only participants who register for the event through RunSignup (this webpage) are eligible for prize drawing.
