Event Description
Athens Area Home Builders Association presents the 7th Annual Homes for Hunger 5K Walk/Run. Support two great causes!
Food donations will be delivered to the ACTS-Oconee County Food Bank in Bogart, and proceeds will benefit HomeAid Georgia.

Course
The 5K course is run completely inside of Oconee Veterans Park. There is construction along the running path in Softball and Tennis Court areas. A modified course will be used for this 2026 race. The start and finish will be in the Soccer Field parking lot and will run along the roads to the back gate, down the dirt road past the dog park to Hodges Mill Road, turnaround and come back to the Soccer Field parking lot.
Awards
Awards are given to Overall Male / Female, Masters Male/Female and the following Male / Female Age Groups:
10-year age group: 10 and Under 11-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80 and Over

What if it Rains?
We get wet! Race start time may be delayed in 15-minute increments if storms are in the area. Sorry, no refunds due to inclement weather.
