Event Description
Oconee County’s signature America 250 celebration takes over Thomas Farm with a full day of fun, fitness, and community pride. The day begins with a 5K at 8 a.m., followed by the park opening at 4 p.m. with food vendors, a kid's zone, periodic fashion shows, and family-friendly activities throughout the evening.
Live music begins at 6:30 p.m. and leads into a stunning drone show at 9 p.m. Bring your lawn chairs or blankets, dress in your red, white, and blue, and join us for an unforgettable America 250 celebration.

Course
The Freedom Trail 5K will be run on the Trails of Thomas Preserve Park and completely contain within the park.

T-Shirts
Freedom Trail 5K Shirts are available for all registrations received by June 22, 2026. After that date t-shirts will not be available.
Awards
Two awards will be given out for the most patiotic male and female runner. Wear your red, white and blue!
Race Series and Finishline Management
The Freedom Trail 5K is proud to be a member of the Black Bag Race Series.
Finish line management and timing provided by Classic Race Services.
What if it Rains?
We get wet! Race start time may be delayed in 15-minute increments if storms are in the area. Sorry, no refunds due to inclement weather.
