The 35th Annual Crawfish Festival is a family oriented event and offers something for all ages from children's amusements to arts & crafts, to cloggers, square dancers and live bands. The Doreen Myers 5km Run kicks off the events on Saturday morning with a beautiful run through Woodbine, the boardwalk, and finishing at the Satilla Waterfront Park by the banks of the Satilla River.
Proceeds from the race benefit the Safe Harbor Children's Advocacy Center. It is a non-profit organization that offers services and support to children who have been victims of physical or sexual abuse.
Awards will be given to the top three males and females in the following categories:
Top 3 Overall Finishers, Top 1 Masters Finishers, Age Group Finishers (Over 40), Top 3 Age Group Finishers in the following age groups: 0-12, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 Plus.
In addition, awards will also be given to 1st Place Law Enforcement - Male & Female
Runners will receive a custom t-shirt, raffle prizes, medals for all age group winners, goodie bag from sponsors, water, Gatorade, and bananas.
90 minutes to 15 minutes prior to the start of the race - Bib, Chip, and Packet Pickup
90 minutes to 30 minutes prior to the start of the race - Day of Race Registration Open
30 minutes after last finisher - Awards Ceremony
8:00 am - Race Start
Packet pickup and day of race registration will be at Woodbine City Hall (Hwy 17 & 4th Street) from 6:30-7:30am.
The race Starts at Highway 17 & 4th Street (near City Hall) and Finishes at Satilla River Waterfront Park.
The race will be chip timed using a bib chip system. Chips will be distributed at the packet pickup. All runners must cross the mat at the finish line with their chip properly attached to their clothing to score in the race. Chips will NOT have to be returned after the race.
