GCI Wellness Challenge Giveaway
OFFICIAL RULES OF PROMOTION
September 28, 2020 – October 28, 2020
Eligibility
The promotion is open to all Alaska residents, who are both 18 years or older and physically in the state of Alaska on October 30, 2020, except the employees and immediate families (spouses and parents, siblings, and children and their spouses) of GCI Communication Corp. (“GCI”), their affiliates or subsidiaries, their advertising agencies, and any other company involved with the design, production, execution, or distribution of promotion materials for GCI.
How to Participate
The promotion begins at 8AM Alaska Daylight Time (“AKDT”) on September 28, 2020 and ends at 11:59PM AKDT on October 28, 2020. People who are physically in the state of Alaska may enter by registering to participate in the GCI Wellness Challenge at https://runsignup.com/Race/AK/Anchorage/GCIWellnessChallenge, and by representing that they have completed all 4 wellness challenges (5K, check in with a friend, cooking a healthy dinner, and a self-care activity). Once on the site, entrants will fill out a form (which requests First Name, Last Name, and Email Address, and other information as required by the RunSignup portal). Entrants will then have the opportunity to complete a checklist representing that they have completed all 4 wellness challenges. Entrants who have successfully registered and represented that they have completed all 4 wellness challenges by the deadline of October 28, 2020, and who meet all other eligibility requirements explained herein, will be entered to win. No purchase necessary to enter to win. Entrants do not have to be customers of GCI, or “opt in” to receive future communications from GCI, in order be eligible to win. Employees and contractors of GCI are eligible to participate and win, but must disclose their employee/contractor status and will be entered to win a different set of prizes than the general public.
Limit of one entry per individual for the duration of the promotion. Multiple entries by any individual will be eliminated by comparing name and email address provided. Online entries will be accepted through October 28, at 11:59PM AKDT.
Prizes
There will be two sets of prizes, one set for the general public, and one for employees/contractors of GCI. Six winners will be selected—three from the general public, and three GCI employees/contractors. General Public: (1) One set of Beats X headphones and Apple Watch Series 44MM Gold/Pink (value of $429 for Apple Watch + $99 for headphones; (2) Samsung Tablet Active 2 16GB ($420 value); (3) Apple Watch Series 44MM Gold/Pink ($429 value). GCI Employees and Contractors: 1 GCI Company Store gift card for $100 ($100 value); 1 GCI Company Store gift card for $75 ($75 value); 1 GCI Company Store gift card for $50 ($50 value).
The prizes that may be awarded to the eligible winners are not transferable, redeemable for cash or exchangeable for any other prize. All prizes will be mailed to the participant at a mailing address in the State of Alaska. If a winner cannot be contacted or is disqualified for any reason, GCI reserves the right to determine an alternate winner or not to award that winner’s prize, in its sole discretion.
Drawings
Winners will be selected by random drawing from all eligible entries. Odds of being awarded prizes depend upon the number of valid entries received. The winner will be selected by individuals whose decisions in all matters relating to it are final. GCI reserves the right to change the entry deadline, selection method, and prize at any time.
The drawing will be conducted within 7 days of October 28, 2020. Winners will be contacted by phone or e-mail at the contact information provided at signup. The first and last name, and city, of winners may be announced on GCI’s webpage and/or social media accounts, at GCI’s discretion. By entering this contest, you agree to have your name/city used in this way.
Award Claims
Prizes will be mailed to winners at an address in the State of Alaska. If there was no valid address provided along with the entry, GCI will attempt to make contact at the e-mail address provided with the entry. Winner must respond to email notification within 72 hours. Failure to respond to email notification within 72 hours, return of email prize notification as undeliverable, or failure to claim prize within 10 business days of the email notification may result in disqualification of winner and forfeiture of his or her interest in all prizes. If a winner cannot be contacted or is disqualified for any reason, GCI reserves the right to determine an alternate winner or not to award that winner’s prize, in its sole discretion.
Winner’s List
To obtain the names of the winners, send a self-addressed stamped envelope to: GCI Wellness Challenge, Attn. Corporate Communications, 2550 Denali Street, Suite 1000, Anchorage, AK 99503.
Resolution of Disputes
All entrants agree that any dispute concerning eligibility for participation in, or for the awards in this promotion, must be first submitted in writing to a panel of individuals representing GCI, whose decisions as to all matters related to the promotion shall be final. Any disputes brought must be filed within thirty (30) days of the award. All entrants agree that GCI liability to any entrant under this promotion shall not exceed ten percent of the wholesale value of the award.
General
By participating, entrants acknowledge and agree as follows:
- To be bound by these rules and acknowledge and agree that the decisions rendered on behalf of GCI are final.
- The winner hereby consents to the use of their names and/or likenesses by GCI for the purposes of advertising without any payment or other compensation. Any tax liability is solely the responsibility of the winner.
- In the event of unavailability of the above stated awards, GCI reserves the right to substitute an award of comparable value. GCI reserves the right to correct errors in announcement or materials in conjunction with this promot
