Date & Location:
The Go Gold Race is Saturday, November 4th at the Elm Grove Community Center & Pool (2731 Clear Ridge Dr, Kingwood, TX 77339).
Packet Pickup:
Participants signed up for the Go Gold Race have a packet. Our packets are drawstring bags that have your t-shirt, timing bib, coupons, and other materials inside. Please note that later sign ups, made close to the event date, are not guaranteed packets with all of the included items.
Pre-Event packet pick up ($0.00): Friday, November 3rd from 4:30pm - 7pm - Christ The King Church. Drive through packet pickup at Christ The King located at: 3803 W. Lake Houston Pkwy. Kingwood 77345. Drive through the covered circle drive on the South side of the church building. No need to get out of your car. We'll deliver to you.
Event Day, packet pick up ($5.00): Saturday, November 4th (EVENT DAY) - Open from 7:00 AM to 7:55 AM. located at: Elm Grove Community Pool, Labeled packet pickup tables will be located outdoors at the event center area.
*Yes! You can pick up packets for other participants. In order to do this you must provide the person/persons name(s) and show proof of their registration."

7:00 AM - Aquathlon Transition Area Opens
7:00 AM - 7:55 AM - Same Day Packet Pick Up Opens
7:30 AM - Kids 1K Race Starts
7:55 AM - Aquathlon Transition Area Closes
7:55 AM - National Anthem
8:00 AM - 5K Run/Walk and Aquathlon Start
9:00 AM - Awards Ceremony
10:00 AM - Event Ends & Clean Up Begins
Parking Information:
The majority of parking will be at both the Elm Grove Elementary school and along Clear Ridge Drive. If additional parking is required, participants may park along adjacent streets, so long as they do not block the driveways of the homes in the area. Your vehicle may be towed if it is found in a restricted or private area. Restricted areas include, but are not limited to, in front of no parking signs, driveways, crosswalks, private parking lots, etc.
1K Kids Race (7:30 AM):
The 1K Kids Race is open for kids 12 and under and will NOT be timed. If you have a child who would like to be timed, please register them for the 5K. All 1K participants are welcome to walk/run the 5K with their parents following the 1K.
5K Walk/Run (8:00 AM):
The beautiful 5K Walk/Run greenbelt course will be a timed event. Whether you prefer to run or walk, this event is open to everyone!
Aquathlon (8:00 AM):
For those seeking an extra challenge, our Aquathlon is the perfect choice! The Aquathlon starts off with a a 150-yard swim and then transitions into a 5K run. At 7:00 AM on race day, a transition area next to the pool will open for aquathlon participants to set up their marked transition spot and put their belongings, running clothes, running shoes..etc. After completing the 150-yard swim (There will be heavy lifeguarding presence surrounding the pool), aquathlon participants will quickly go to their transition spot and change into their running clothes shoes...etc. (A nearby changing room is available if needed). They will then exit the pool following a marked path and enter into the 5K run.
Time Results:
Race results and times will be posted on event day after all of the races and before 6:00 PM. You can view the results and times on the "RESULTS" page on our website.
Awards:
All participants will receive a finishers wristband at the finish line! The top three male and top three female finishers of each event will receive go gold race medals and our top overall female finisher will receive a certificate for a free month of classes at Pure Barre!
Post Party:
The Go Gold Race finishing area includes a bunch of things we think you'll love! All participants can look forward to enjoying... Crust Pizza, water & drinks courtesy of HEB, face painting, vendor stands, cotton candy, a photo booth, a DJ, and a Petting Zoo! Our fun post-party is sponsored by 14 companies. Shoutout to them for making this all possible!
