Race Director Notes
Germantown Trail Races
The races start at Morning Glory Shelter at 10 am. The shelter is located a couple hundred yards past the Twin Valley Welcome Center. I am telling you now: if you only put Germantown Metro Park into your Google Maps, you will never find it. Be specific!
There are vault-style toilets at the start/finish with flush restrooms at the nearby visitor center.
Aid stations will have water, Gatorade, fruit, candy, chips, and basic first aid supplies.
The routes are mainly on trail. One short stretch of pavement to cross a bridge, and a little gravel, but 95 percent trail. The routes are a bit long, so be prepared to get your money's worth. The 5K is pretty spot on, but the 10K, 15K, and ½ Marathon will come in long.
The terrain is rolling with no major extended climbs; however, the trail can be technical in spots, especially if muddy. I highly recommend trail shoes.
The 5K has 282 feet of elevation gain, the 10K has 797 feet, the 15K has 1079 feet, and the ½ Marathon has 1,600 feet of elevation gain.
The 5K is on a continuous loop, the 10K is one continuous loop, the 15K is a loop of the 5K then the 10K, and the 1/2 Marathon is two loops of the 10K.
The course(s) are marked with color-coded flags, cones, arrows, and signs.
Results will be posted at www.wolfpackresults.com by Sunday at 12 pm. There is no awards ceremony; however, we will send an email on Tuesday morning congratulating the winners. Course record breakers will receive a coveted Wolf Pack Yellow Jersey. Winners of each event will be entered into a drawing for a 2027 Pack Pass and a personalized Wolf Pack shirt.
