Yes, the Ghostly Gallop will be held rain or shine. Only in the event of extreme weather will the event be cancelled. Any announcements will be shared via email and on the Playmakers social media accounts.
The Ghostly Gallop is held at Uncle John's Cider Mill, located at 8614 US-127, St Johns, MI 48879.
There is plenty of free parking located at the cider mill. You'll drive past the tap room and proceed east to the large grass parking lots. Please reference the site map displayed on the Courses page for more details.
Yes, parking is 100% free!
The 5K and 1 Mile start and finish lines are located by the southeast corner of the Cider Yard.
The Boo Dash will start ~100m south of the main start/finish line, and use this as the finish.
Restrooms are available as you enter Uncle John's, close to the main cider mill. There are also portable toilets located throughout the grass parking areas.
There will not be restrooms located on the race courses.

Both races start on a dirt road, with the 5K including a mix of grass and dirt roads and the 1 Mile staying entirely on dirt roads.
Dogs are welcome on race day! We ask that you follow Uncle John's pet policy: pets must be kept on a leash, cleaned up after, and not inside buildings.
If your stroller can handle off-road terrain, you are welcome to participate with it!
We ask that anyone participating with a dog or a stroller line up at the back of the start area to allow plenty of room.
There will be one water station located at roughly the halfway point of the 5K. This will be a self-serve water station!
After you finish, you'll receive your official finisher medal!
After receiving your medal, please continue forward to our refreshment area to grab post-race treats that include apples, donuts, cider, and hard cider (21+)!
Anyone wishing to redeem their cider ticket on their bib for a hard cider must first have their ID checked in the packet pickup area and receive a drink wristband.
Yes, both overall and age group awards will be available starting at 11:30 AM. Awards will be distributed following these categories:
