Directions
The race will be staged from the Pavilion at City Park in Denver. City Park is an urban park and neighborhood in Denver, Colorado located at 2001 Steele St, Denver, CO 80205. The park is 330 acres and is located in east-central Denver. The park contains the Denver Zoo, the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, Ferril and Duck Lakes, and a boathouse. City Park is bordered on the south by 17th Ave, on the east by Colorado Blvd, on the north by 23rd Ave and on the west by York St.
Parking
There is no official parking lot or designated parking on race day. Parking is available on the streets surrounding City Park as well as numerous lots in the area. Please click here for the location of these lots. Please respect our City Park neighbors and obey all parking signs. Please do not park in the lot or garage directly in front of the Museum. We suggest arriving early to find parking.

You can also pick up your race packet on race morning at the race site. Race day packet pick-up closes at the start of the race.
Course Info
The race will utilize the standard certified City Park 5K course, but will be run in the reverse direction. The 10K will be two loops of the 5K course. One aid station will be located at mile 1.5 of each loop. It will have water and Gatorade only. Bicycles, skateboards, and roller skates are not allowed in the race.

Awards
There will be an awards ceremony near the finish line after the race. Awards will be presented to the overall male and female winner in each race as well as the top three in each age group. Age groups are as follows:
5K: 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29…… up to 80 and over
10K: 9 and under, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39…… up to 80 and over
Time Limit
There is a time limit of 1 hour and 40 minutes due to park restraints. This is 16 minutes per mile for the 10K and 32 minutes per mile for the 5K.
Weather and Safety Issues
We all know that the weather in Colorado is day to day. The race will be run no matter what the weather! Bicycles, skateboards, roller skates are not allowed in the race.

Cancellation & Refund Policy
Entry fees are non-refundable. If the event is postponed or cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., natural disasters or safety concerns), you will receive a 100% credit toward another event produced by Colorado Runner Events. Event details are subject to change without notice.
Transfer & Deferral Options
Entries and bib numbers are non-transferable. Up until 11:59 PM the Monday before the race, you may make any of the following changes for a $10 fee:
- Transfer your entry to another person
- Transfer your entry to another Colorado Runner Events race
- Defer your entry to next year’s race
Virtual Race Option
You can switch to the “virtual race” free of charge to have your packet mailed to you. This option is available until 7:00 AM the Wednesday before the race. After this deadline, please contact us.
How to Manage Your Entry
You can perform any of these tasks by clicking the “manage your registration” link in your confirmation email or through your RunSignUp profile page.
Note: In RunSignUp, “race” refers to a different race date, while “event” refers to a specific distance (e.g., 5K or 10K) within the same race.
Yes, if you register for the race and then would like to switch to a shorter event, you can do that. There are no refunds if you switch to a shorter event.
If you would like to go up in distance, you will need to pay the difference in price from your entry to the event you would like to run before you can switch.
To switch your event, you will need to click the "manage your registration" link in your confirmation email and then click the switch event link. You can also manage your entry from your RunSignUp profile page. Click here to access that page.
Both of these options are allowed up until 7:00 AM the Wednesday before the race. After that, please contact us directly to switch events.

Colorado Runner Events will not be cancel or postpone an event due to cold temperatures, snow, rain, wind or any other inclement weather.

We are sorry to hear that your results are not showing up online. Sometimes, there is a malfunction with the timing tag attached to your bib. Our race timer, HAL Sports, uses multiple back up systems in case this happens. Please click here to contact them and they will respond to your inquiry and post your results. Their staff is out timing races on the weekends, so someone may not respond until they are back in the office.

We do allow dogs to run with runners. Please start at the back of the pack or on the outside if you are running with your dog. All dogs within the park must be leashed at all times and dogs running with runners must be confined to a six foot leash or shorter. No retractable leashes are allowed in the race.

Headphones are discouraged as you may not be able to hear faster runners coming from behind you.
Yes, you may walk any distance at any of our events, as long as you can finish within the time limit if there is one.
Roller skates, roller blades, bikes, skateboards and other items with wheels are not allowed in the race.
