The Lifebanc Gift of Life Walk & Run is Lifebanc’s most popular annual community event, bringing together donor families, transplant recipients, healthcare professionals, volunteers, runners, walkers, and supporters. The event raises awareness for organ, eye, and tissue donation while honoring the lives saved through donation and the donors who made those gifts possible.
Everyone is welcome! The event is open to all ages and fitness levels. Whether you’re a competitive runner, a casual walker, a family with children, or someone attending to honor a loved one, the Gift of Life Walk & Run is designed to be inclusive, welcoming, and meaningful for all participants.
Both! The event includes a timed 5K run for those who want a race experience, as well as a non-competitive walk for individuals and families who prefer a relaxed pace. Participants may choose the option that best fits their comfort level and goals.
The Gift of Life Walk & Run is held annually at a designated location in Northeast Ohio. Event dates, times, parking details, and course information are announced each year on the Lifebanc website and shared through email and social media channels.
Fundraising is encouraged but not required. Many participants choose to raise funds to support Lifebanc’s mission and honor a donor or recipient, while others simply register and attend. All contributions — whether through fundraising, sponsorships, or donations — help support Lifebanc’s lifesaving work.

The event raises awareness about the importance of organ donor registration while celebrating the lives saved through donation. It also supports donor families, educates the community, and advances Lifebanc’s mission to save and heal lives every day.
A portion of the registration fees go towards paying for the expenses of the race. A portion of the registration fees will go towards Lifebanc as well, it just won't be determined until after the event. Donations go directly to supporting Lifebanc.
