Race Info
Location
Race Location is at the former Abington Early Learning Center:
1073 Old York Road
Abington, PA 19001
Directions to the Starting Line: The race start line is located approximately 3 miles South of the Pennsylvania Turnpike, Willow Grove exit, near the intersection of Route 611 (Old York Road) and Susquehanna Road, past Abington Memorial Hospital.
Course Info
Starting Line: Runners and walkers will begin from the starting line on Huntingdon Road and Guernsey Avenue across from Memorial Field.
5K Runners: The run will take you through a quiet, residential area of Abington Township with rolling hills and will finish Olympic style on the track at Memorial Field.
2 Mile Walkers: Walkers will walk through a predominantly flat course with the last mile being parallel to the runner's final mile. Families with kids of all ages of participants are encouraged to join. Please stay to the left along Huntingdon Road, as the fast runners will be returning to the finish utilizing the right hand side of Huntington. This course is not timed.
Pets are not permitted on either course. Strollers are permitted for both events.
Parking Info: Parking is available at the following locations: Wells Fargo Bank, Behind Vintage Restaurant, Abington Free Library, Abington Presbyterian Church, Abington Junior High.
Packet Pickup
Packet pickup will be available on the following dates at the Willow Grove YMCA (3300 Davisville Rd, Hatboro, PA 19040):
Monday, November 20: 9 AM - 7 PM
Tuesday, November 21: 9 AM - 7 PM

Wednesday, November 22: 9 AM - 7 PM
Runners can also pick up packets before the race begins on race day.

Awards
Awards will be given to the overall 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place runners overall in both male and female categories. Awards will also be given to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place runner in each age bracket in the male and female gender categories. Please see Fundraising Info section for more info on awards for fundraising.

Registration Info
When does registration close?
Registration is open from Monday, July 17, at 9:00 AM through Thursday, November 23, at 8:45 AM. Registration fees will increase as we get closer to race day so register today for savings! Group discounts are available until race day as well. Groups that register with four or more people will receive a discount for each runner. *Please see special pricing timeline for more information and full details.
Can I register at the Race?
Yes. We suggest registering through our website even on Race Day. This can be done on your mobile device or computer or at our Registration station on one of our devices. This is the fastest way to register. Registration will close at 8:45 AM on Race Day when the Opening Ceremony begins.
If you’d like to pay cash, you will need to visit one of our Registration stations. Please pay with exact change. Change will not be available on Race Day.
Shirts are not guaranteed on Race Day. Please register before November 1st to secure your shirt and size.
We encourage you to register before Race Day and to attend our Packet Pickup times and dates listed on this page. This can help you avoid lines on Race Day and give you more time to warm up!
What is included in my registration?
Participants in the Gobble Wobble are eligible for a custom race shirt and drawstring bag! And yes, we offer youth shirt sizes! Shirt and bag supplies are limited, so register before Monday, October 23rd to guarantee your race swag! Registrants after this date receive race swag while supplies last.
Medals and awards will only be given to runners that qualify for the awards above. Post-race entertainment, refreshments, and giveaways will be announced closer to race day and are subject to change.
If I register on Race Day to run the 5k, will I still get a bib?
Yes, all participants running the 5k will receive a chipped bib. Early registrants will receive a Gobble Wobble limited edition bib. Later registrants, including Race Day registrants, will receive a bib, but it may not be the limited edition version.
Do I need to register my child?
All participants are encouraged to register regardless of age. While children ages 5 and under are FREE, we ask that you still register your child so that we can get a better estimate of attendance. You will not be charged for registering your child. Children ages 5 and under do not receive a t-shirt.
Can I get a refund?
No refunds are given. This is a rain or shine event.
When can I pick up my race packet?
Pre-race packet pickup takes place at the Willow Grove Y on November 20, 21, 22 from 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM. You can also pick up your packet on Race Day before the race begins.
Where can I find the race results?
The results will be shared on this page after the race. Runners can scan the QR code on the back of their bib to see their time as well. To scan the QR code, open the camera on your cell phone and hold it over the QR code. A link will appear. Click the link to be directed to your race results page. You may receive an email from our partners at Second Wind with additional info. Results will also be posted on SecondWindResults.com.

Where does my donation go?
All proceeds from the YMCA Gobble Wobble 5K help support crucial YMCA programs and services to more than 250,000 people every year. With your participation we will be able to continue to provide financial assistance to thousands of members of our community to improve their mental and physical health and provide safe, trusted care for their children. How do I create an individual fundraiser?
Follow the registration process. After you select your shirt size and membership status, you will see the Fundraising Page. Click the “Become a Fundraiser” button. Follow the prompts for your individual fundraiser info. You can create a fundraiser for each person in your registration group. You can personalize your fundraiser using the custom URL, photo, message heading, and message. You can also click here to get started.
How do I edit my fundraiser?
You will receive a confirmation email after you finish your registration. In this email you will see a link to "Manage Fundraiser". Please click this link. This will open your fundraiser page and allow you to edit your fundraiser information including name, goal, story, and image.
How do I share my fundraising page?
Using the main menu at the top of the page, click “Top Fundraisers”. Select the applicable fundraiser type (individual vs team) and use the search bar to find yourself or your group. Click on your profile photo (or defaulted letters). This will open your fundraiser page. Next to your fundraiser name, you will see the option to Manage. Select the dropdown for Links/Sharing. This will open a new page with your custom URL to share. You can copy this link to post on social media, emails, or other sites. You can use the icons to share to those sites as well.
Are there fundraising awards?
Awards will be given to the top 3 individual fundraisers. Fundraising will end at 11:59 PM on Wednesday, November 22, 2023. Winners will be announced at the end of each race. Winners not present at the award ceremony will be emailed with times to pick up prizes at the Y. You can view the Top Fundraisers here.
Volunteer Info
How do I sign up to volunteer?
Use the main menu at the top of the page and click on “Volunteer”. Click the “volunteer” option underneath “Race Volunteer”. Input your personal information. Read and agree to the waiver. Answer the questions related to volunteering. Confirm your information and submit. Our Volunteer Coordinator will be in touch to confirm your volunteer role and add you to the team. Thanks for joining us!
After I sign up, will someone contact me with more info?
Yes. Our Volunteer Coordinator will reach out to you directly to involve you in the next steps.
What do I need to bring to my volunteer opportunity?
Dress warmly and bring your positive attitude! We’re going to have tons of fun. Our Volunteer Coordinator will be in touch with you to confirm any other items that you may need to bring.
Can I bring someone who did not sign up but would like to help?
We appreciate your enthusiasm! We invite you to stay in touch with our Volunteer Coordinator to ensure we are all working together!
What are the age requirements for volunteering?
You must be 16 or older to join us as a volunteer. Volunteer opportunities vary by race site, weather, and number of interested volunteers.
