Information on Fallen Hero History Project Videos, Scholarships, and Donations
The Gold Star Mission is a nonprofit organization that seeks to Honor and Support Gold Star Families by preserving the memory of our Fallen Heroes through service to others in need. The Gold Star Mission allocates funds raised through Gold Star Mission events to support the Fallen Heroes History Project Videos and Gold Star Mission Scholarships. The Gold Star Mission events serve as an opportunity to ensure that these service members’ names live on forever, and that their sacrifices create opportunities to enrich the lives of others. By doing this we Always Remember and Never Forget.
Proceeds from the events will go towards our Fallen Heroes History Project videos and scholarship program, which preserves their legacy forever. Proceeds from the General Logan 200 will go towards the Gold Star Memorial Monument in Springfield, IL until it is completed.
In our first seven years (2017 - 2024), contributions from donors and fundraising from our riders and runners made it possible to present two hundred and eighty five $1000 scholarships to future college, university and technical school students. In the last two years, created 9 thirty minute Fallen Hero History Project Videos ($3,000 each), and donated nearly $10,000 to support the Gold Star Memorial Monument in Springfield, IL.
