Race Day Details
Following are important race day details for The Hair of the Bear 15K and 5K.
- Date and Time: April 6th at 9am
- Location: ShawneeCraft Brewing Company located at 100 Shawnee Inn Drive, Shawnee on Delaware, PA
- Check-In: 7:30am-8:30am on race day.
- Start Time:
- The 15K starts at 9am
- The 5K starts at 9:05am
- The 1 Mile Walk starts at 9:08
- Course Map:
- Course Notes: The 15K course starts and finishes in front of the brewery with the 1st and last 2 miles (4 total) on pavement and the middle 5 miles on the McDade Recreational Trail - which is well groomed/hard packed (off-road) terrain. The 5K is 95% paved.
- Timing and Results: Results are based on Chip Timing.
- Results will be available immediately on this site by clicking the RESULTS Tab.
- Awards: Top 3 Overall and Age Groups will receive an award. Awards are presented at ShawneeCraft Brewing Company at approx. 11:30am.
- After Party: There will be a breakfast/Brunch for all 15K and 5K finishers at the finish line. Brunch Option. Plus we will have live music and 1 complimentary Beer available at the Brewery. We hope you can stick around and enjoy some time after the race.
- Swag: All runners will receive a shirt, finisher's medal, and pint glass on race day.
- Water: There will be water available at miles 2, 4.5, 7, and the finish line.
- Free Downloadable Photos will be emailed by Monday afternoon.
