What are the Hands-on House Races?
We are bringing back that finish line feeling on Saturday, September 30th with race distances of 5K and 10K and the half marathon will be returning! All participants get to enjoy our beautiful farmland community, earn our famous tech shirts, finisher’s medals, and additional prizes for top finishers! We also offer complimentary admission to the Hands-on House Children’s Museum on the day of the event! Proceeds from this event aid in providing programming to underprivileged children, enhancing indoor and outdoor exhibits, and offsetting operating costs.
Where should I park?
We have ample parking at the Hands-on House Children’s Museum and will be offering additional parking in a satellite lot for overflow. It is a ~ 15 minute walk from the satellite lot so allocate sufficient time because the races will start right on time. More details to come!

Can I pick up a packet for a friend?
Sure! Just be sure to let them know you are doing them a favor so they do not panic wondering where their bib is located.
What is the time limit?
The time limit for the 1/2 marathon is 3:30 and the 5K and 10K is 3:15.
Can I walk one of the races?
We love walkers! Our 5K and 10K events are very walker friendly and they can be completed at even a comfortable walking pace. The half marathon would require a very brink pace (about 16:00/mile pace) to complete it in under the time limit.

Can I push my stroller?
Sure! Please be aware of others around you and be prepared for lots of extra smiles, cheers, and waves. Pushing a stroller is no joke!
Can my dog run with me?
We only allow service dogs on the course.
I am unable to participate. May I have a refund or transfer my bib to someone else?
Entry fees are non-refundable. We are unable to permit refunds, deferrals, or transfers at this time. However, we do offer registration insurance. At the time of registration, participants have the option of purchasing insurance that will refund their entry fee in the event they cannot attend the race due to medical illness, work, or other covered reasons.
Can you mail me my shirt?
We are unable to mail shirts to anyone who is not able to participate.
