Heat It To Beat It funds are used for patient education, clinical trials, presentations at medical symposia, publications in major medical journals, and unique collaborations between specialists.  Mercy is one of the first institutions in the United States to open a phase II randomized clinical trial investigating the role of HIPEC as initial management for ovarian, primary peritoneal, and fallopian tube cancers.
