This race course is FLAT and it is FAST! With only 32 feet of total elevation gain, you will be racing on one of the fastest 5K courses in the greater Birmingham area!
This year's race course starts and finishes at Avondale Brewing Company. From the start it is a flat and fast 1.55 miles out to the turnaround (near the beginning of the Jones Valley Trail / near the end of the Rotary Trail). Athletes will run the long straightaway along the Jones Valley Trail out to the turnaround before heading back toward the finish.
All participants in both the COMPETITIVE and 5K RUN ONLY divisions will be chip timed, and Top 3 Overall Male / Female winners will be awarded.
