1. Race Logistics

What time does the race start?
  • All races begin at 8:00am on Saturday, April 26, 2025
 
Where does the race begin and end?
  • All events Start at Upper Edgewater Park of the Cleveland Metro Parks and ends at Lower Edgewater Park.
 
When does race day registration begin?
  • There will be NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION OR PACKET PICK-UP unless pre-selects at registration.
  • During the registration process, you may select to have your packet mailed to your home for an additional $12, or pick up your packet race morning for an additional $10 (limited slots available).
  • If you did not choose to have your packet mailed, you must pickup your packet at one of the pickup dates/locations listed on the site.

How can I register for this event?
  • You can register online; the deadline for registration is Friday, April 25 at 12 noon!
  • You can mail in a paper entry by printing this form with relevant payment – see current costs when mailing your entry form.

Is there a pace requirement for this race?
  • Due to the limited timeline for road closures on the route, participants are asked to maintain a 16 minute/mile pace throughout. 
Will you send me a confirmation?
  • All online registrations will receive confirmation via e-mail. For all other registrations, you may contact the office to verify your registration at 216-623-9933
I didn’t receive my confirmation e-mail, how can I make sure I’m registered?
  • If your credit card was charged, you are registered for the event. You can call us to confirm 216-623-9933
What do I receive with my registration?
  • A Cleveland 10-Miler race shirt - with the option to upgrade to a premium apparel options

3. TRANSFER REFUND AND DEFERRAL QUESTIONS

I can no longer participate in the race due to injury or scheduling conflict, what are my options?

If I’m unable to attend and already registered, can I still get my shirt?
  • Yes! You can pick up your shirt at the packet pick up locations or at our office the following week – we do not mail shirts unless otherwise stated. Please call the Hermes office at 216-623-9933 ahead of time to let us know you are coming 
On my registration, I misspelled my name, age, I’ve recently moved, etc. How can I fix this?
  • You are able to self edit your registration from your Run Sign Up account. Please contact the Hermes office at 216-623-9933 or e-mail roadracing@hermescleveland.com if you are still having issues.
TRANSFER DEFERRAL REFUND QUESTIONS
  • As a team of runners, we understand issues come up, especially during endurance training. 
  • We do our best to accommodate various needs and will continue to make efforts in providing the best possible options for each participant.
  • The Cleveland 10-Miler implements capped pricing at fair market value up until 1-day before the race to allow participants to register at their discretion.

TO TRANSFER
  • Runners have three generous options under the "transfer umbrella". 
  • Runners can transfer 1) to virtual, 2) to another runner or 3) to another pre-selected Hermes owned race later in the year. 
1.To Virtual:
  • Run the race on your own time and at your own preferred location and submit results online anytime by April 30, 2025.

2.To Another Runner:
  • This is a free option, and can be done anytime prior to the final packet pickup. There are no exceptions to this.
  • This process must be completed through the RunSignUp online transfer platform.
  • Follow the Participant Transfer Tutorial HERE
  • Runners are NOT allowed to simply give their bib to someone without following the online transfer process.
    •  If you are found to have given your bib to someone else without following the online transfer steps or communicating with a Hermes staff member, you will be disqualified from future races.
3.To Another Upcoming Hermes Event: 
  • Hermes Sports provides a complimentary option to transfer your entry into one of the listed races below - must transfer by April 17.
  • After April 17 this option will no longer be available, and there are no exceptions to this policy.
  • Qualified transfer race options include: The Parrot Head Run 5K (7/19) or the Hofbrauhaus 5K or 10K (8/4).

TO DEFER
  • You are able to defer your entry into the 2026 Cleveland 10-Miler race for an additional $15 good until 4/17. No deferrals requests will be accepted after this date. 
  • Follow the Event Deferral Tutorial: HERE.
  • Athletes who become pregnant or are 24 weeks postpartum may receive a 2-year deferral option.
TO REFUND
  • Similar to a concert ticket, airplane ticket or any other live event ticket, refunds are not allowed.

 
4. PACKET PICK UP INFORMATION


If I’m pre-registered, do I need to bring identification to packet pick up?
  • It is not required, but it’s always a good idea to bring a copy of your confirmation email! 
Am I required to pick up my race bib and shirt at packet pick up?
  • Yes, if you did not choose to have your packet mailed to you, you must pick it up at one of the locations listed. There is no no race day packet pickup except for those who purchased this option $10 at registration. 
Can someone else pick my race bib and shirt?
  • Yes, both can be picked up by/for family and friends. It’s always a good idea to bring the participants confirmation e-mail as well.
Where can I pick up my race packet?
  • Packet Pickup dates and information can be found HERE
  • Have your packet mailed to you for only $10 (Deadline for this option is Monday, April 8th)
  • If you do not get your packet mailed, you can pick up your race packet at one of the packet pickup locations or at the Hermes office.
 
PLEASE NOTE: THERE WILL BE NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION!

 
5. RESULTS/AWARDS


How is this race timed?
  • This race is an officially timed event using state of the art MyLaps Bib tag timing system. Timing chips are attached directly to the back of your bib number and are to remain adhered for the duration of the event
Where can I see my results?
  • Results will be posted directly after the race on clevelandtenmiler.com Locate the race and click the ‘Results’ link or on the home page, go to the Race Results tab. You may need to refresh your browser to view.
  • You may also opt in during registration to have results emailed and/or texted to you!
When will the results be posted?
  • Results are posted live - age groups results are updated as runners cross the finish line. 
What do I do if my results are incorrect or missing?
  • After the results have been officially posted, please contact Hermes at roadracing@hermescleveland.com with detailed information.

Does this race provide any kind of awards?
  • Yes – Awards are provided in the following categories for the Indiviudal 10-Miler:
  • Top 3 Overall Male and Female Finishers
  • Top 3 Overall Male and Female Age Group Categories:
    • 15 and Under, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 and Over 
  • Team Relay Awards are provided to the following categories: 
    • Top 3 Overall Male and Female Teams
    • Top 3 Overall Co-Ed Teams

6. DIRECTIONS AND PARKING


Where can I park the morning of the race?
    • Just minutes from downtown Cleveland, Edgewater Beach is located between the Memorial Shoreway (Route 2) and Lake Erie
    • Address: 6500 Cleveland Memorial Shoreway, Cleveland, OH 44102
    • Runners can park at lower Edgewater and walk up to the start at upper Edgewater (roughly 1/4 mile)
    • Runners can also park at upper Edgewater for the start, but spots will fill quick.

    • We recommend being parked by 7:00AM race morning.
    • If you are not familiar with Edgewater Park, we recommend visiting the site prior to race morning.

7. COURSE QUESTIONS

How is the course? Does it have many hills?
  • The first half of the course is relatively flat - the second half has a couple of challenging hills to end with a downhill finish!

For how long will the course be opened?
  • Participants interested in the 10-mile distance should be able to hold a 16-minute/mile pace to ensure they complete the course safely. Medical support, water/aid stations, and road closures will start to become unavailable to participants. The local police and race organizers will ask you to reroute to a shorter version of the course or move up onto the sidewalk where you will be required to obey regular traffic laws.
Where are the aid stations located?
  • Water stops are placed every 2 miles along the course.
  • Gatorade stops will be located at mile markers  4, 6, and 8. 
  • CarbBoom Energy gels will be provided at water stop 6.
Are there restrooms along the course?
  • There will be plenty of bathroom options for you at the start and finish and stationed portos along the course. See the course map for details.
Am I able to bring a stroller or my dog to the race?
  • Dogs are encouraged to spectate, but are not allowed in the race.
  • Strollers are welcome, but please stay at the back of the start area for the safety of the runners
Can I wear headphones on the course?
  • Yes, you can. Please keep volume low to ensure you, and runners around you are safe.

8. VIRTUAL RUNNERS

The Cleveland 10 Miler includes a virtual race option for those who are not able to attend the Live event.
  • A race packet will be mailed out at the end of April (after the Live event) including your apparel item, a novelty race bib, and your finisher medal!
  • A virtual run allows someone to complete the 10 Mile distance anywhere and anytime between April 1- April 30.
  • Runners will even have the option to submit a 10-mile time online through the RunSignUp account.

  • This is only offered to participants who registered virtually.


9. MISCELLANEOUS


Can I volunteer for the race?
Is there a bag check?
  • Yes, there will be bag check at the start and bags will be delivered to the finish.
  • All bags must have their pull tag (tag included on your race bib) attached to their bag. 
Will race photos be available?
  • Yes! Photos are complimentary and searchable after the event. 
How do I modify my giveaway/swag item?
