Q: How do I participate in the race virtually?
A: Great question! We've partnered with RunSignUp to offer the RaceJoy custom race experience. Using the app you can log in and track your participation in realtime, for every activity. It will let you start/stop every time you participate over the course of the race period, and tally your results automatically. Find out more here: https://www.racejoy.net/participants
Q: Where can we see results?
A: Results will be posted in the RaceJoy app live. You can also view them online by clicking on the "results" page from the race website: https://runsignup.com/Race/Results/109433
Q: Can we use the RaceJoy app offline?
A: Yes. As long as you set up your profile in the app before going out of cell/wifi range, you can record your activity without cell service. Open the app again once you're back into service and it'll upload your activity and tally your totals!
Q: Can we use other fitness apps/devices?
A: Absolutely! Although we recommend the RaceJoy app for the most immersive experience, you can also use other fitness apps and devices, and either upload your time manually from the results page, or upload a .gpx file and have the distance and elevation automatically used.
Q: How will I receive my race swag?
A: All hats and swag are mailed directly to participants. Please allow some time for processing and shipping due to delays with shipping.
Q: How do badges work?
A: We're glad you asked; badges highlight some of our most critical policy areas and projects while recognizing your distance traveled. You earn these automatically as you track your activities and the totals are calculated.
Q: How does the "All In" Challenge work?
A: The All In Challenge allows you to participate in any of the three areas: Hiking, Paddling, or Biking. You'll sign up once and be able to submit activities for any of the three events.
Q: How do "Teams" work?
A: During signup, you can choose to join or create a team. This is a fun, social challenge aspect to help raise funds for Backcountry Hunters and Anglers! As a team you can compete to tally your scores all together and compete against other teams for the longest distances and greatest elevation.
