The #LLJGl Team Challenge is an exciting way for groups of all kinds to come together have some fun and compete for prizes while making a difference!  Whether you're part of a sports organization, school, business, running club, family, or simply a group of friends, everyone is invited to join the challenge!

🏆 HOW DOES THE TEAM CHALLENGE WORK?

It's simple! Form a team, get your people involved, raise money for a great cause, and earn points in three categories.

Participation (Rally the troops!)

Fundraising (Support the Cause!)

Race Results (Run Fast!)

1. PARTICIPATION — EVERYONE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

The more people you get involved, the more points your team can earn! Points are awarded for participating in our events, and additional bonus points are available for those who volunteer, too.

Participation points:

• Live 10K: 10 points per participant

• Live 5K: 8 points per participant

• Virtual 10K: 7 points per participant

• Virtual 5K: 6 points per participant

• Volunteer: 5 points per volunteer

• Family Walk: 3 points per participant

• Kids Race: 3 points per participant

• Participate in an event AND volunteer:  3-point bonus!

Here's how it works: Someone who runs the live 10K and volunteers earns 13 points. Someone who participates in the Family Walk and volunteers earns 5 points.

Volunteering counts whether you help before race day or on event day. Activities can include event preparation, organizing supplies, race-morning setup, assisting with event operations, supporting participants, and post-race cleanup.

 

2. FUNDRAISING — HELP YOUR TEAM CLIMB THE LEADERBOARD!

Help us make an even bigger impact by raising money for Jude's legacy and the memorial scholarship fund.

Every $25 raised or donated on behalf of your team earns 1 point!

And there's more! Teams can earn additional bonus points by reaching fundraising milestones.

• Raise $250: Earn 5 bonus points

• Raise $500: Earn 10 additional bonus points

• Raise $1,000: Earn 20 additional bonus points

Milestone bonuses accumulate as your team reaches each goal.

For example: A team that raises $1,000 earns 40 regular fundraising points plus 35 milestone bonus points, for a total of 75 fundraising points!

Rally your teammates, family, friends, local businesses, and supporters. Every dollar helps your team compete while supporting a meaningful cause.

All fundraising must be documented and credited to your team to count toward the competition by raceday.

 

3. RACE RESULTS — BRING YOUR COMPETITIVE SPIRIT!

Think your team has some fast runners? Here's another opportunity to score!

Every finisher in the live 5K and 10K earns 2 base points for their team. Runners can earn even more through overall and age-group finishes.

 

Overall finish bonuses:

• 1st place: 25 bonus points

• 2nd place: 20 bonus points

• 3rd place: 16 bonus points

• 4th place: 13 bonus points

• 5th place: 11 bonus points

• 6th place: 9 bonus points

• 7th place: 7 bonus points

• 8th place: 5 bonus points

• 9th place: 4 bonus points

• 10th place: 3 bonus points

 

Age-group bonuses:

The top five male and top five female finishers in each official age group will also earn bonus points:

• 1st place: 5 points

• 2nd place: 4 points

• 3rd place: 3 points

• 4th place: 2 points

• 5th place: 1 point

Age-group points are added to any finishing points and overall finish bonuses earned.

The official timed results from the live 5K and 10K determine race-result points.

 

🥇 WHO CAN WIN?

Any team can compete! You don't need to be a running club or have the fastest athletes to have a shot at winning.

 

A team can build its score by:

• Getting as many people involved as possible.

• Participating in the races, virtual events, family walk, kids races, and volunteer opportunities.

• Raising money and securing donations for the cause.

• Bringing competitive runners who can earn race-result points.

 

Every participant counts. Every dollar matters. Every point brings your team closer to the top!
