Below you’ll find everything you need to know about race day.

And remember, this race isn’t just about times. One of our goals has always been to make an impact in our community. It’s not too late to create a fundraising page for one of our incredible charity partners and add purpose to your miles. Whether it’s supporting the firehouse hosting us, the police keeping us safe, or community programs that empower and support neighbors through medical needs and beyond, there’s a mission for everyone.

See you Saturday night on the bypass!

RACE TIPS

  • Line up at the start according to your predicted pace per mile. Runners in the front who are not a sub 6:00 min/mile runner may slow the start of the race and be a hazard. Walkers please line up behind runners.
  • If you must stop during the race, please move to the side of the road to avoid accidents or tripping.
  • At the water stop, please move to the side if you are stopping.
  • If you need medical attention, ask any course marshal to call 911.

WHY IS THE CHASE $45?

Because The Chase isn’t just another 5K, it’s a one-night takeover of Rt. 206 Bypass. Your entry includes:

  • A once-a-year chance to race on a closed state highway (significant associated costs)
  • Music and a finish-line celebration
  • Your first beer on us (21+)
  • Entry into random $100 finisher drawings - anyone can win
  • A shot at a $5,000 prize purse

COMP ENTRIES

Every athlete has something on the line. Your entry fee - even as an elite - represents more than participation. It’s your stake in the race, your commitment to the competition, and your chance to take home $1,000 and the coveted title of "The Chased." At The Chase, we don’t comp entry fees - not even for elite athletes. Everyone enters on equal footing, making the competition that much more meaningful.

WHERE CAN MY FANS WATCH FROM?

Please review the course map Course MapAll spectators must stay out of the start / finish area. Please use the cross walk to stand on the North Bound side of the Hillsborough Bypass between Route 206 and Service Road. We ask that anyone watching from the Hamilton Road bridge be mindful of traffic. All spectators must clear the Bypass before we reopen it at 6 PM.
