Refund / Deferral Policy
UPDATED AUGUST 29, 2021
We understand that many runners have very real concerns related to the COVID-19 Delta Variant.
In the interest of safety for our runners and volunteers we ask to you do not come to the race if:
(1) you have tested positive for COVID-19 in the 10 days preceding the race;
(2) you or someone in your household has symptoms of COVID-19 in the 10 days preceding the race;
(3) you, or someone in your immediate household, has been ordered to quarantine or self isolate by a medical professional or government authority; or
(4) you have been in close contact (within 6 feet of someone for a cumulative total of 15 minutes or more over a 24-hour period) with someone who has COVID-19, unless you have been fully vaccinated.
This is a tough situation for us as race directors, for our volunteers, for all of our runners, and for the charity we support. If one of these situations applies to you please email ryan@sonicendurance.com and we will defer your registration to 2022, no questions asked. We are not requiring "proof" of one of the above described situations but we ask you to remember that we are volunteer race directors who put this race on to raise funds for Running for Rescues. Please do not abuse this policy.
If we are forced to cancel the race due to COVID-19 related issues (e.g. are permits are revoked due to a surge in cases or the State of Connecticut prohibits in person racing) we will give participants the option of deferral to 2022 or donating their registration fee to Running for Rescues.
