Taylor is a Western Carolina University cheer alum (2011–2015), where she met her husband, Andrew Blackwell, a former WCU baseball player. Together, they built a beautiful life in Greenville, South Carolina, centered on love, service, and community. They are the proud parents of two young daughters, Finley Grace and Hadley Hope, whose names inspired the heart and name of this race.

In the fall of 2025, Taylor received devastating news: she was diagnosed with Grade 4 brain cancer. Since then, she has faced treatments with extraordinary courage, leaning on her faith, her family, and the strength of those who love her. While the journey has been incredibly difficult, Taylor continues to embody grace in the face of hardship and hope in the midst of uncertainty.

The Hope & Grace 5K exists to come alongside Taylor and her family during this season—emotionally, spiritually, and financially. Our goal is to cover all race expenses through sponsorships so that 100% of race proceeds go directly to supporting Taylor and her family as they navigate this road together.
