Description

Red Earth Running Co. is excited to announce a collaboration with the American Indian Cancer Foundation (AICAF) to host the first-ever Sacred Breath Virtual Run. The charity run will be hosted from November 14 - November 21 in honor of National Lung Cancer Awareness Month. Sacred Breath is a culturally-based campaign created by AICAF to bring awareness to lung cancer in Native communities.

The Sacred Breath Virtual Run centers and celebrates breath. Our breath is sacred. Like water, it is essential for life. Indigenous peoples around the world have teachings about breath. Many believe breath is an expression of spirit. It connects mind and body. We also bring attention to breath when running. It helps us find our flow. The rhythm of breathing in running quiets the mind, invites calm, and facilitates deep connection. Breath creates a pathway to healing.

How to Participate

The Sacred Breath Virtual Run is accessible and open to all. The event includes options for walking or running, with distance goals ranging from one mile to a half marathon. Follow these simple steps to participate:
