Description

Sign up for the Fourth Annual Dash to Bash Epilepsy by joining your friends to run/walk to the top of Cedar Rapids Mount Trashmore.  Participate in what has fast become one of the most challenging race/walk events in the Midwest. With  more than 600 participants last year, no where can you experience the fun and sense of accomplishment from viewing our city from it's most scenic vantage point.

The race begins at 8:00 AM in front of the National Czech Slovak Museum and designated parking will be plenty. Participants will each receive a beautiful one of a kind race t-shirt and awards will go to the top finishers. A short awards ceremony will take place immediately after the race.  Post race food and drink will be available and a post race party will help you relax.

The 5k course winds through Czech Village and then runners will make a steep 208 foot climb to the top of Mount Trashmore, a recently closed and now landscaped solid waste landfill.  Race proceeds will help fund educational outreach and support the Epilepsy Foundation - Iowa.

Packet pick-up will be on Friday, September 8th from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM in the vicinity of the National Czech Slovak Museum.  Registration is $30 through September 3rd., 18 and younger $15.  Registration increases after September 3rd to $35 and then $20 for 18 and younger after September 3rd.  Online registration ends September 7th.  Race Day registration available.  T-shirts guaranteed for entries by September 3rd. You will be able to register at packet pickup  the morning of the race. Prices will increase by $10.00 on race day.  Register early to avoid price increase.  Strollers are not advised, the course can be rather bumpy. Service dogs allowed.
