Description

Girl Scout Camp Tahigwa is not just a very special place for campers, it's also a great place for a run or walk!  Join us at Second Annual Bridge to Bismarks 5K/One Mile.  Come run the beautiful and challenging trails of Tahigwa!  Why Bridge to Bismarks?  Camp Tahigwa is famous for it's iconic swinging bridge, and once the race is over, runners will be treated to their very own bismark, made over the campfire by local Girl Scouts.  What's a bismark?  You'll have to run/walk to find out...but it's worth it!

Participants who register by September 3 will automatically receive their requested T-shirt.  After September 3, we will do our very best to get you the shirt you request!

Our first goal at Bridge to Bismarks is to break even, and provide scholarships for any registered Girl Scouts 18 and under who need it in order to participate.  Any funds raised from this event will be used to put on more events at Camp Tahigwa, or to provide financial assistance to Girl Scouts in need who want to come to events at camp.

If needed, financial assistance is available for Girl Scouts to wish to participate, and all Girl Scouts save $2 off the registration fee by using code GIRLSCOUT.  Please use the honor system and do not use the code if you are not a Girl Scout.  Or, you could just become a Girl Scout if you are a female of any age or a male 18 and older.  If you do choose to join Girl Scouts, please visit www.girlscoutstoday.org to registerFor need based financial assistance for Girl Scouts, please contact info@camptastictahigwa.org

New in 2014-we are pleased to offer registered participants the opportunity to stay overnight on Friday, September 19 at the rate of $15 per adult and $10 per child (under 18).  Registered Girl Scouts save $3 on overnight stays.  Smores and light breakfast provided to overnight guests.  All cars must be in race parking area by 8:15 am on race morning.  Housing will be available in cabins, treehouses, 3 sided cabins and platform tents.  We will do our best to assign your housing on a first come, first served basis, but will also be seperating families, singles, and Girl Scout troops.  All troops that attend together must meet required supervision ratios, but we do have first aiders and Overnight Readiness and Camp Skills trained staff on site.  As a thank you to Girl Scout Troop leaders for all you do, up to two leaders per troop that brings five more more girls overnight will stay free.

Bridge to Bismarks registrations are not refundable, and non transferrable.

In the unlikely event weather or other conditions exist that make it unsafe to run Bridge to Bismarks, or require course alterations, a late start, etc., we will be unable to issue refunds.
