Description
The Twisted Steel Kids Race is where we encourage kids to run, jump, crawl, help each other, and have a good time while conquering obstacles. You are never too young to set goals and celebrate accomplishing them – an epic feeling that’s universal. This race is for ages: 5-12.

Race Day
Race Day:
Parking @ West Sioux High School parking lot Cost-Free
Spectator admission cost : $5 Adults $2 Kids not racing (Children under 6 free)
Concessions:Food and drink will be available throughout the day.
Arrival:arrive 30-45 minutes before your start time. This gives you plenty of time to park, pick up your race packet, sign race waiver, and get warmed up.
Registration/check in: opens at 8:30 AM
Refunds:
Registration can be transferred to future race or refund will be given with minimum 48 hr notice before race.
No shows will not receive a refund

10:30- Award Ceremony-competitive wave
11:15- anticipated start of last wave (will be pushed back if numbers warrant additional waves)
CHANGING START TIMES
You can change your start time on the day of the race to one that isn't sold out by paying a $5 fee at the “ race day Registrations and Transfers” table located next to the Check-In Table.
Wave Start
We will start lining kids up for the first wave at 9:30. We will start lining up next wave as soon as previous wave takes off.
Please make sure your child is at starting line a minimum of 10 minutes before their wave leaves.The waves will leave on time to make sure everything stays on schedule.
Competitive wave Rules:
Must correctly complete all obstacle-multiple attempts allowed
No help from other racers
Must stay inside race ropes on course
No impeding the progress of fellow racers
Failure to follow volunteer directions may result in disqualification
RACER REFRESHMENTS
There will be a water station for racers halfway through the course and again at the finish line, we’ll also have bananas to help you replenish your energy!
Spectator viewing area
No racers are allowed out on the course prior to their wave
No one is allowed on or around obstacles prior to their wave
We will have a viewing area set up to allow parents/spectators to watch the race. Please no parents or other spectators out on the course.
INCLEMENT WEATHER
The race will not be canceled for rain! If there's lightning, we'll delay waves until it passes. When the race resumes, waves will go off at 5-minute intervals until the race is back on schedule. If there's severe weather that prevents the event from being held at all on Saturday, it'll be moved to Sunday
