FIRST Tech Challenge Team 5084, B.E.T., is operated as an after-school program and is entirely self-funded by student fundraising and community and corporate sponsorship as a part of FIRST for Iowa. This program provides real-life experiences and problem-solving opportunities using the math, science and technology skills that we need to develop youth in order to ensure the future vitality of our community.
Each year, the students design and build a robot with guidance from coaches and mentors that assist the team in preparation for FTC competitions. Proceeds for the race will support the team in the following ways:
· Robot: Parts sensors, motors, etc.
· Team apparel, buttons, handouts, etc ,
