Description
The Boise Galloway Run Walk Run Training Program is open to anyone who is interested in completing a distance event or simply running/walking with an amazing group of people! All sizes, shapes, ages and abilities are welcome ... from beginners to Boston qualifiers, from walkers only to runners/walkers. Pace groups are set up to ensure a comfortable and safe training pace for every ability.
Kickoff (First Run/Walk + Info Session): Saturday, June 28, 2025 @ Kristin Armstrong Municipal Park @ 7:00 am for a short run/walk, followed by a program information session.
Training locations: Various parks along Boise River Greenbelt
Choose the training duration and distance that works best for you:
- 16-week Walk-to-Fitness (June 28 - October 11). This group will walk for a specific time duration, not a specific distance.
- 16-week 10k (June 28 - October 11)
- 21-week 10k (June 28 - November 15)
- 21-week Half marathon (June 28 - November 15)
- 21-week Full marathon (June 28 - November 15 for ALUMNI only that completed half marathon training by June 21, 2025)
Train with us for the following races:
- FitOne 10k, 5k: September 20
- City of Trees Marathon, Half, 10k, 5k: October 11
- Idaho Running Day Marathon, Half, 10k, 5k: October 18
- Boise Half Marathon: mid-November
