Description

ITUS is a series of 14 races across Idaho from various race directors that offer some of the most amazing views and challenges to test your endurance, speed, and grit.

How to complete the Idaho Trail Ultra Series?

Complete 4 of the 14 races in any ultra distance (31 miles or more) and you get a logo'd ITUS jacket at the end of the year.

Points System:

  • You accumulate points based on the distance and finish time of each race.
  • The top 6 men and women in points are considered "The Dirty Dozen" and you receive a special Dirty Dozen award.
  • How are ITUS points configured?
    • We divide the winning time by runner time and then multiply by the applicable points for that race (31 for 50k)
    • Bonus Points: 1st place -10 points; 2nd place -5 points; 3rd place -3 points. 2nd and 3rd place points are calculated on the formula BEFORE adding the bonus points.

"The course was well-marked and astoundingly beautiful! I did not expect it to be that gorgeous! The views were so beautiful that I even truly enjoyed the hardest climbs! The views of Palisades Reservoir, wildflowers, waterfalls, creeks and brooks, alpine meadows, trees, peaks...the whole run was breathtaking. I've never truly enjoyed a run so much before...."
