Run for the Health of It 5k

The 2015 Run for the Health of it will be held at Ann Morrison Park located on the Boise River in Boise, Idaho. The starting line is at Old Time Shelter.

Run for the Health of It is an annual fundraiser that is put on by the Idaho State University College of Pharmacy students in an effort to fund our student-run patient outreach projects which  consist of numerous operations that provide complementary health screenings and care to the community within the sate of Idaho. Our services include:

 

• Administering immunizations
• Lipid/cholesterol screening
• Blood pressure screening
• Diabetes education and screening
• Heart disease education
• Medication education
• Community health fairs
• Poison prevention education
• Prescription abuse awareness education

 

In addition, at least 25% of the proceeds from the Fun Run will be donated to Hodia: Idaho Diabetes Youth Programs.

Idaho Diabetes Youth Programs

Hodia is a non-profit organization that advocated for children and teens with Type 1 diabetes by sponsoring programs and camps that offer mentorship and support. Their mission is to foster self-reliance and demonstrate that no one has to be limited by diabetes.

Packet Pickup will be located near the Start / Finish area starting at 9 AM on Race Day. Race will begin at 9:30. Registration will also be available on site.
