Description

The Grand Slam Challenge
Welcome to The Grand Slam Challenge, a self-guided, self-paced adventure brought to you by Trail Fridays! The Treasure Valley’s Grand Slam includes four iconic local peaks: Kepros, Cervidae, Heinen, and Lucky Peak. Whether you spread them out or push through in a single weekend (some have even completed all four in under 24 hours!), this challenge is about showing up for yourself in a big way.

These aren’t just hikes—they’re treks, and each one comes with steep grades, rugged terrain, and the kind of effort that demands preparation and grit.

At Trail Fridays, we believe movement, connection, and purpose are key to physical and mental wellness. The Grand Slam Challenge is an invitation to find all three. Move your body through Idaho’s wild beauty. Connect with community, with resources, with a higher power—or simply with yourself. And give purpose to every step. Whether you’re chasing a summit, chasing a feeling, or just looking for a reason to show up—this challenge is for you.

Challenge Details
Take on any or all of the four Grand Slam peaks on your own schedule. The first 25 individuals to summit each peak will earn a custom summit token, provided by Trail Fridays. You don’t have to complete all four—each trek earns its own reward.

Some people take weeks or months to finish. Others do them back-to-back. There’s no set order and no end date—just your adventure, your way.

This challenge is completely free to join, but if it adds something meaningful to your journey, we’d love for you to consider making a donation to Gr8ter. Your support helps keep our mental health–focused programming going strong.

Important Reminders

- Obey all local laws and posted regulations.

- Bring ample water, nutrition, layers, and safety gear (our awesome Partner, Fleet Feet can help with these at their Meridian AND Nampa locations. They can also help assess what additional gear you may need!)

- Check trail conditions and weather before heading out.

- These are steep, strenuous treks—know your limits and go prepared.

Trailhead Notes

- There are no bathrooms at the trailheads—please plan accordingly.

- Cell reception is limited in many areas—download maps in advance and let someone know your plan.

- Always practice Leave No Trace principles and respect trail etiquette.

Summit Tokens
Trail Fridays is offering custom summit tokens for the first 25 individuals to complete each peak. A total of 25 tokens are available per summit, and you do not need to complete all four to receive one. Once your trek is verified, pickup details will be shared with qualifying participants.
