Description
UPDATE: 11/18/20
Our race will be Virtual this year. Unfortunately with Idaho going back to a modified Stage 2, with no group gatherings more than 10 people, we will have to switch our event to Virtual. However, we are still having it! Get a group of friends together, go for a run, track it, upload it and see your results! We will still give out finisher prizes and shirts that you will be able to pick up at the Rec Center.
If you do not want to participate in a Virtual Event, you have the option of donating your registration fee to our cause still, or getting a partial refund. We hope you still participate! Whichever you choose, please email the race director with your decision. Thank you all for registering and being flexible with the state of Idaho and COVID-19. Stay safe!
Continuing the fun tradition of our Annual Turkey Trot, the Cascade Rec Center will be hosting the race this year!! Join us Thanksgiving morning for a quick jog before indulging in your feast festivities. This year we are raising money for swim lesson scholarships. Cascade is a town surrounded by water; Lake Cascade, the Payette Rivers, Horsethief Reservoir and many more. We want to give the gift of knowledge and skills, and provide kids and adults the great opportunity to learn how to swim. Please help us in doing so by participating in our family friendly event!
All children under 8 years of age are free. As part of our family event, parents have the opportunity to run the first mile with their kids to see them finish and then can continue running the last 2 miles of their 5k. We have great prizes for the top male and female finishers in the 5k, along with swag bags and t-shirts for all registered runners. The top male and female youth finishers will also receive a prize. Join us on your Thanksgiving morning for this fun run and enjoy a guilt-free Turkey Day feast.
