Events

Scout Mountain 100

$325
$250 06/06 12:00PM MDT
For the truly committed trail runner, the full 100-mile course is for you. This major test of endurance is a complete tour of the Scout Mountain area as runners navigate a challenging ~23,800 ft of vertical gain (and loss).

Scout Mountain 50 Mile

$200
$165 06/07 6:00AM MDT
The 50 mile course (actually 53.8 miles) traverses some of the best portions of the 100-mile route. With over 10,900′ of vertical gain (and loss) and the potential for very snowy and muddy conditions, this route takes runners through an incredible challenge.

Scout Mountain 50k

$150
$125 06/07 7:30AM MDT
The newest addition to the Scout Mountain Ultras! The 50k is the most common ultra distance and we are very excited to offer this distance. The race covers some of the most beautiful areas around including Gibson Jack, West Fork and Scout Mountain. There is 7400' of ascent and descent making it a great mountain ultra to kick off your running season.

Scout Mountain 23 Mile

$75 06/07 9:00AM MDT
This is our favorite section of the course, a glorious loop that summits Scout Mountain. With over 5,400′ of gain (and loss) and the best single track of the whole event, this is one incredible loop. This part of the course will most certainly have some snow. With a strong winter, it could be heavily snow-covered.

Description

Scout Mountain Ultras is an exciting and challenging weekend of trail running. Now offering four distances:  21 miles, 50km, 50 miles and 100 miles. The routes are beautiful, difficult and guaranteed to provide a challenge to all participants. At times we have joked that we are an environmental event with a running problem as we do focus on reducing our impact, reducing our waste and raising the environmental literacy of our participants. Above all we are a celebration of the craft of trail running as we gather our community to celebrate the hard work that we often do in isolation.
